Vegetation polygons for the United States portion of the Tijuana River Watershed.
Process_Step:
Process_Description:
Field observations of the vegetation in the Mexican portion of the watershed were mapped onto clear mylar sheets overlaying 1:12500 aerial photography. The photos and mylars were then used to heads-up digitize the vegetation polygon boundaries using a SPOT image as a reference. Once the boundaries were completed, topology was generated and the polygons were attributed with the proper vegetation codes and descriptions. The Mexican portion was then merged with vegetation obtained from the San Diego Association of Governments and the County of San Diego for the United States portion to complete the overall coverage for the .
